Frequently Asked Questions
This section addresses some common questions that have been raised by users of previous versions.
1. Do I have to complete the Setup Sound System Wizard?
No, the Setup Sound System Wizard is used only to check and assist you in setup of your
sound system. If you can not complete the wizard please just make sure you can play
and record sound through your speakers and microphone. Then try using the program.
Please note: Not all sound cards are capable of completing the Setup Sound System Wizard.
2. Why doesn't Web-TalkIt recognize what I'm saying?
When training remember to say the voice commands the same way you will when
Web-TalkIt is listening. Many people do not train the voice commands the same way they
normally say them. Just remember to talk in your natural speaking voice, and it will work
great! If you still have problems try to re-train the voice commands.
3. Can I make my own tables?
No. Only one table is used in Web-TalkIt. You access this table via the Training Wizard.
4. How many voice commands can I have?
512 voice commands are allowed. Typical users have about 30 to 40 voice commands.
Hints for Using Web-TalkIt

Make sure when training voice commands to talk in your natural speaking voice.
Make sure your sound mixer settings (volume control settings) are the same when training voice commands and when in listening mode.
If you experience problems with listening mode try to re-calibrate sound system.
